NOTICE OF ELECTION INFORMATION
TOWNSHIP OF TARBUTT AND TARBUTT ADDITIONAL

Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Township of Tarbutt and Tarbutt Additional in the District of Algoma that whereas more candidates have been nominated than are required to fill the following offices:

COUNCILLORS
Four to be elected

ALGOMA DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
One to be elected for the Central Algoma Area

HURON-SUPERIOR CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
Six (6) trustees to be elected at large for the following geographic area: City of Sault Ste. Marie, the organized Townships of Prince, Laird, Johnson, Tarbutt and Tarbutt Additional, MacDonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional, and the Sault Ste. Marie Locality (Unorganized Townships)

Voting will be held for electors in the Township of Tarbutt and Tarbutt Additional at the following location:

ADVANCE VOTING DAY:
Date:             Saturday, October 18, 2014
Time:            10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Location:      MacLennan Community Hall, 762 MacLennan Road N., Desbarats, Ont

VOTING DAY:
Date:             Monday, October 27, 2014    
Time:            10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Location:       MacLennan Community Hall, 762 MacLennan Road N., Desbarats, Ont

VOTING BY PROXY:
Any qualified elector may vote by proxy. An elector wishing to appoint a proxy voter must do so by using the prescribed form, which can be obtained during normal municipal office hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The elector appointed must present both copies of this form in person to the clerk for certification at the clerk’s office during normal office hours, or during the hours of 12 noon to 5 p.m. on Advance Voting Day, October 18, 2014. 

The clerk may require proof of identity of the elector appointed (including citizenship) before certifying the proxy.

The deadline for making application to vote by proxy is 4pm on October 27, 2014.
