Don’t let your trash become an identity thief’s treasure.

Crime Stoppers in partnership with J&B Security Shredding and RioCan, are welcoming residents of Sault Ste. Marie and the District of Algoma to safely and securely dispose of their household documents at their Community Shredding Event on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019.

This years’ event will be held in the Winners section of the Cambrian Mall parking lot from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Along with household and business documents, Crime Stoppers is also accepting unwanted electronics and scrap metal that will be properly recycled and disposed of, preventing unnecessary pollution to the environment.

All services offered by J&B Security Shredding is by donation to Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District.

The suggested donation for recycling papers or electronics is $5 a bag, $10 a bankers box, and $15 for a large box. All of the proceeds from the Community Shredding Event will stay local to assist in supporting the mandate of the Crime Stoppers Program.
