NEWS RELEASE

CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY, ONTARIO DIVISION

*************************
When loved ones are diagnosed with or pass away from cancer, we often want to do something to help or honour them.

This April, the Canadian Cancer Society wants the people of Sault Ste. Marie and area to know that there is something they can do.

This April, by volunteering just a couple hours of their time selling daffodil pins in support of the Society’s Daffodil Month campaign local residents can save lives and help people who are living with cancer now.

Money raised through Daffodil Month helps local patients and their families living with more than 200 different types of cancer, by doing everything we can to prevent cancer from ever happening in the first place, funding research to outsmart cancer and empowering, informing, supporting and improving the lives of Canadians living with cancer so that fewer Canadians are touched by the disease.

We need volunteers on the following dates: April 4, 9 to 11 and April 16 to 19.

Those interested in signing up as a Daffodil Month volunteer can register today at vhub.at/Algoma or contact Carly at (705) 253-4781 or [email protected].
