The following information was submitted to SooToday by the Sault College Students’ Union regarding this year's Pride Month flag raising ceremony:

Join us from the comfort of your computer or device as we raise the rainbow flag to kick-off a very unique Pride Month for 2020!

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and to do it the right, safe way, this year's flag-raising will respect social distancing protocols, meaning that we cannot gather as a group to celebrate or have the public join us in-person. Instead, Sault College Students’ Union invite everyone to visit our Facebook page, where we will be live-streaming this event from Sault College on Wednesday, June 10 at 9:30 am.

Brief remarks on the importance of showing that #PrideLivesHere will be provided by:

  • Janice Beatty, Sault College vice president, Corporate and Student Services
  • Ahmad Alkosani, Sault College Students’ Union president
