Celebrate National Canadian Film Day with virtual watch party

Come celebrate National Canadian Film Day with your public library! On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, we would love for you to join us for our virtual watch party to celebrate the power of Canadian film.

The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library will be screening Hochelaga: Terre des Ames (Land of Souls), directed by Franҫois Girard, starring Samian and Raoul Max Trujillo.

Hochelaga: Land of Souls is a film that can be described as Outlander meets Canadian history. Time travel with archeologist Baptiste Asigny and visit his Iroquoian ancestors upon the arrival of explorer Jacques Cartier in 1935.

The first 20 people to register for this event will automatically be entered to win a gift basket featuring goodies from Cornucopia: Gourmet Popcorn Co. Sault Ste. Marie. Be sure to register by April 20, 2021 for your chance to win.
