Buy a mug, enjoy free soup to support local charities

Bon Soo Winter Carnival and Bon Soop are just four days away! During the Bon Soo Winter Carnival, the Zonta Club and participating restaurants are offering a unique experience for participants. With the purchase of a limited edition 2020 Bon Soop mug for ten dollars, you can get free soup at 11 participating restaurants during the ten days of Bon Soo - Jan. 31 to Feb. 9, 2020.

The 11 restaurants are as follows: Barsanti’s at Root River, Uncle Gino’s Café, Reubaras YMCA, Boots n’ Saddles, Casey’s Grill Bar, Gliss Steak and Seafood, freshii, Q Café and Bakery, Cups and Cones, The Queen’s Tarts and Scott Coffee Co. The Zonta Club of Sault Ste. Marie appreciates the strong support of these local businesses for this fundraiser. This is an opportunity to try soup at different restaurants while supporting the local service club and these businesses.

Mugs are still available for purchase from The Shoe Fits! in the Station Mall or from individual Zonta members. Proceeds from this fundraiser go to local service projects.

Zonta is a global service organization of members working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. The Zonta Club of Sault Ste. Marie Area celebrated 40 years of service in the community in 2018. The club supports a number of local service projects including scholarships at local high schools as well as Sault College and Algoma University, Breton House, Women in Crisis, Breast Cancer Comfort pillows, Days for Girls hygiene kits, literacy and ovarian cancer awareness.
