AlgomaTrad to host virtual trivia fundraiser

This event will feature a Community Challenge, where the winning table’s entry fee is donated to the charity of their choice

The AlgomaTrad Trivia FUNdraiser is a night of friendship and friendly competition with the goal of raising money for the AlgomaTrad Centre Building Fund.

Due to the pandemic, Trivia Night will take place on Zoom – your team will be together in a break-out room to answer the questions, then will join all the other teams in between rounds to listen to some musical performances and find out the answers. You can join with a team of 8 or sign up as an individual online at algomatradonline.ca/trivia-night

When: Saturday, April 10, 7 p.m.
Where: In your own home, or wherever you can get online to Zoom!
Cost: $25/person

The Community Challenge: 

Enter your community group, co-worker group, or a party of friends for a table of 8. The winning table’s entry fee donated to the charity of their choice.

Prizes: 

Except for the Community Challenge, there are none….The winning team gets bragging rights and their team’s name wood-burned on a special AlgomaTrad Trivia trophy, which they can keep in their possession until the next trivia challenge.  Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening.

AlgomaTrad Centre Building Fund: 

The AlgomaTrad organization is currently developing a the AlgomaTrad Centre, a sustainable heritage arts centre featuring year-round music, dance, and heritage craft programming and events on St. Joseph Island.

AlgomaTrad is a not-for-profit arts organization that is dedicated to the sharing, celebration, and learning of traditional music, dance, art and heritage craft. AlgomaTrad’s priorities are inclusivity and building multi-generational community through these living traditions. AlgomaTrad hosts community dances, concerts, and workshops throughout the year, a week-long family-friendly traditional music, dance and arts camp each August, and educational programs in local schools.
