The Group Health Centre Trust Fund is pleased to announce that the Charity Golf Classic is back after a 3-year hiatus. This tournament marks the Trust Fund’s first in-person event since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The 4-person scramble takes place on Thursday, Sept. 1, at Crimson Ridge Golf Course. With a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m., golfers can expect an 18-hole tournament with tons of on-course competitions and prizes, including a $10,000 hole-in-one and the chance to win a pair of Bluntstones from The Shoe Fits.  Thanks to the generous meal sponsor, Merrett’s & Group Health Centre Pharmacies IDA, golfers will enjoy an on-course lunch as well as a buffet dinner at the end of the tournament.

Aiming to encourage as many people as possible to participate, the cost per golfer is only $150. Click here to register your team today!

“We are looking forward to once again connecting with our dedicated supporters. It’s been a very long time since we have been able to host an in-person event, and what better way to celebrate than with sunshine, great food, and a round of golf,” said Tricia Lesnick, GHC Trust Fund Manager. “We are so grateful to our generous sponsors who continuously support our fundraising efforts. We could not be a success without them.”

This year’s GHC Trust Fund Charity Golf Classic Sponsors include SooToday, Kiss 100.5, Country 104.3, Merrett’s & Group Health Centre Pharmacies IDA, Maximus Rose Benefits Inc. & Acclaim Ability Management Inc., Liu Plastic Surgery, and MicroAge.

All proceeds raised from the Charity Golf Classic will be used towards the purchase of a Bone Density Unit for our Diagnostic Imaging Department.  This valuable piece of medical equipment helps to diagnose bone-related health problems such as osteoporosis.

Event information, including how to register and how to become a sponsor, can be found on the Trust Fund website at https://trustfund.ghc.on.ca/.
