The 2017 Station Mall Rotary Charity Golf Classic raised $35,000 for THRIVE Child Development Centre. Since the beginning of Rotary and Station Mall’s partnership in 2013, over $170,000 has been raised for THRIVE.

This year’s donation will go towards supporting:

  • Materials & devices for the Assistive Communication & Writing Aids Clinic

  • Support for the Family Assistance Fund, which provides family with some financial assistance to purchase items necessary for their child

  • Annual Psychology Clinic provided by two visiting psychologists from Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital

“What a beautiful day, weather and overall. The golfers were great and the volunteers enjoyed every minute of it,” shared Amanda Gauthier, THRIVE Respite Care Coordinator, “Our youth volunteers expressed a feeling of importance and value that day. Not only am I thankful for this event as a staff member of THRIVE but also as a parent who receives services. We appreciate all that was done.”

THRIVE Child Development Centre helps children and youth with diverse abilities to achieve their highest potential. One of twenty-one children’s treatment centres across Ontario, they support children and youth from 0-19 years of age who are impacted by differences in physical, perceptual, communication and/or developmental trajectories. THRIVE builds on their unique strengths, gifts and talents so that they and their families can meaningfully and joyfully THRIVE!
