NEWS RELEASE

PAULINE'S PLACE

*************************
On Apr. 25, 2017, 100+ Women Who Care SSM held their quarterly event to raise funds for Pauline’s Place, A Non-Profit Homeless Shelter, who serves Youth, Women and Families.

100+ Women Who Care is a group who gathers four times a year, and donates $100 each (or as a team) to a charity chosen by the Membership. Since 100+ Women launched in May 2016, they have raised $58,580.00 for small local charities and non-profits in Sault Ste. Marie.

We are excited to announce that 100+Women Who Care raised $17,175 for Pauline’s Place.

Established in 2004, Pauline’s Place has evolved to a 19-bed facility providing emergency shelter to youth, women and families who are experiencing homelessness.

All the money raised will go towards easing poverty in our community by providing food and other basic supplies to those in need. The dedicated staff uses a support based approach to assess each resident’s unique needs and connect with other agencies as needed to provide advocacy and access to safe, affordable, sustainable housing.

To find out more, visit our Facebook page or check out our website at www.paulinesplace.com. Pauline’s Place is a member agency of the United Way.
