SAINTS HOOP ANOTHER WIN

Make it eight wins in a row for the senior girls high school basketball team at St. Basil. The Saints ran their record to a perfect 8-0 on Tuesday with a tidy 46-31 win over the White Pines Wolverines.

NORTH STARS ON TOP

A win and a tie on home ice have improved the Soo North Stars' record to 8-2-2, tops in the Great North Midget Hockey League. The three-point weekend came from a 5-5 tie and 4-2 win vs. the Sudbury Lockerby Nickel Capitals.

GENERALS DOWN GREYHOUNDS

Playing well of late the Soo Greyhounds went into action last night against the Oshawa Generals trying to win their second straight game and increase their undefeated streak to a modest three games.

SAULT COLLEGE WOMEN IMPROVING BUT...

BARRIE -- The women's basketball team at Sault College, a first-year entry in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association, came away winless from a weekend road trip here, though marginal improvement was made.

SIR JAMES DUNN AND ST. MARY'S COLLEGE ADVANCE TO THE CITY CHAMPIONSHIP.

In semi-final Action on Friday October 18, the Sir James Dunn Eagles blanked the Bawating Braves 28-0. The game took place at 7:00 on Rocky DiPietro field.

After going winless in 8 games the Soo Greyhounds seem to be turning the corner. In their last 4 games heading into last night the Greyhounds had managed a win, a tie, and an overtime loss along with a regulation loss.

ROYALS SCARE SAINTS

St. Basil is still unbeaten within the senior division of the girls high school basketball league but the Mount St. Joseph Royals gave the Saints a scare Thursday night.
