SEARCHMONT -- High winds didn't deter nearly 60 skiers from across Northeastern Ontario on day two of the Wolfman Classic at Searchmont Resort.

SEARCHMONT -- High winds didn't deter nearly 60 skiers from across Northeastern Ontario on day two of the Wolfman Classic at Searchmont Resort.

Saturday's Giant Slalom runs saw the Searchmont Ski Runners put out more solid efforts as they continued to dominate the medal podium. The Kinder-1 men's race saw Josh Dugas capture his third gold medal in two days. Teammates Matthew Horbatuk and George Payne were second and thirrd.

In K-1 ladies, Meghan DiAngelo topped the medal podium for the third straight event. Morgan Manthan of North Bay was runner up while Diangelo's Searchmont Ski Runners teammate Heidi Poldmaa, of Goulais River, was third.

In the K-2 Division Jennifer Payne took the women's gold ahead of Sarah Richardson of North Bay. David Ghent-Kyle of Sudbury's ADANAC Club won his third gold medal in two days. David Dutkiewicz of the Sault was second ahead of Carson Bussiere of Timmins.

In the Mackenzie Division, Iain Hutchison led a Searchmont Ski Runners sweep in the 10 and under group. Devin Labelle and Jason Willett also reached the medal podium. In the girls race Searchmont's Nicole Gignac beat teammate Meghan Horbatuk.

Overall, Kayvon Fatemizadeh of the host club took the men's title. Joshua Murphy of North Bay was second ahead of Sudbury's David Ghent-Kyle. North Bay's Alexandra Mantha captured the women's overall prize ahead of SSR skiers Meghan Diangelo and Jennifer Payne.

The Wolfman Martin Classic wraps up today with another Giant Slalom Race at Searchmont Resort.
