SUPER RACE NIGHT FOR WILSON

It has only been two weeks of racing but the action is starting to heat up as the drivers jockey for position in the points standings at the Laird International Raceway.

George Wilson took a big step in the right direction Thursday by winning all three races in the Super Stock division including the feature race and both heat races. Wilson had lost some points he earned last week after a disqualification following the race.

Rob Sartini, who is the current division points leader, finished behind Wilson in all three races.

In the Super Late model division, Tim Aho won the feature race while Terry McClelland won both heat races.

In Factory Stock, Parker Brocklebank won the feature and a heat race while Bill See won two heats and Len Bibeau won a heat. Glenn Barry also completed the three-race sweep by edging out the competition in all three races including the feature.

As always, the results found here after race day are the unofficial results. Similar to NASCAR, Laird officials take a couple of days to review the action and administer penalties if needed.

Official results will be posted on the Laird website when they become official, usually during the weekend. The site can be reached by clicking on the Laird advertisement on the SooToday.com home page.

Action continues next Thursday night at Laird beginning at 7 p.m.
