Steelhawks and Knights pick up senior basketball victories

Girl’s high school basketball action continued with all four schools in action at both the junior and senior levels.

In senior action, Hannah Heimonen had eight points and Jill Ferguson chipped in with six as Superior Heights beat Korah 28-17.

Korah’s Esther Yule led all players in the game with 13 points.

In Tuesday’s other senior game, Mercedes Mazzuca had 27 points as St. Mary’s beat White Pines 47-25.

Madison Jackson had seven points for White Pines.

Ella Zachary had 12 points as Korah beat Superior Heights 45-27 in one of two junior games on Tuesday night.

Taya Shackleton had 16 points for Superior Heights.

In Tuesday’s other junior game, Ashlyn Noble had 14 points as St. Mary’s beat White Pines 33-30.

Taylor Boyer had eight points for White Pines.

Superior Heights and White Pines return to action on Thursday night at White Pines in both junior and senior action.
