St. Mary's, Superior Heights wrap up OFSAA soccer

St. Mary's competed in AAA action in both boys' and girls' soccer while Superior Heights competed in the AA girls event

Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) soccer action wrapped up for three local teams on Friday afternoon.

In the AAA girls tournament in Alliston, Ont., St. Mary’s beat Kitchener’s St. Mary’s High School Friday to wrap up round robin action with a 1-3 record.

The Knights opened the day with a loss to London’s A.B. Lucas Secondary School on Friday.

St. Mary’s dropped decisions to St. Martin Catholic Secondary School of Mississauga and Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School of Stoney Creek, Ont. on Thursday.

In the AAA boys tournament in Sarnia, Ont., St. Mary’s went 1-3 following a pair of losses on Friday.

St. Mary’s dropped decisions to St. Martin Catholic Secondary School of Mississauga and Regoipolis-Notre Dame of Kingston.

St. Mary’s split on Thursday, picking up a win over St. Patrick’s Catholic High School of Sarnia before losing to East York Collegiate Institute of Toronto on Thursday afternoon.

In the OFSAA AA girls tournament in Belle River, Superior Heights went 2-2 in round robin action, which wrapped up on Friday afternoon.

The Steelhawks picked up a split on Friday at the three-day event, beating Corpus Christi of Burlington after dropping a decision to St. Andre Bessette of London, earlier in the day.

On Thursday, Superior Heights picked up a split with a win over Father Bressani of Woodbridge, Ont. and a loss against Holy Trinity of Bradford, Ont.
