Soo Greyhounds forward Blake Speers received some good news on Tuesday.

The Greyhounds captain has been medically cleared to play and is expected to be in action at the Canadian National Junior Team selection camp set to open this weekend in Quebec.

Speers broke his wrist in his first game back with the Greyhounds on Oct. 27 in Windsor after being sent back to junior by the NHL’s New Jersey Devils.

Speers played in three games with the Devils before being sent back.
