Soo Minor Baseball looking for boys of summer

Despite the winter weather, the Soo Minor Baseball Association is thinking summer and are accepting applications for the upcoming season. The SMBA provides the opportunity for house league and select baseball players ages five and up.

Despite the winter weather, the Soo Minor Baseball Association is thinking summer and are accepting applications for the upcoming season.

The SMBA provides the opportunity for house league and select baseball players ages five and up. The Association will also make an attempt for the second consecutive year to start a men's league for players 17 years and over.

The Soo Selects, meanwhile, are gearing up for another season of rep baseball under a similar coaching staff to last season.

Mike Lebel along with assistants Neil Kirkpatrick, Ryan Johns and Joe Yardanoff will lead the midget selects, Steve Hurley and Corey Lorenzo guide the junior selects, Mike LaLonde and Ray Raslack coach the bantams, Tyler Hankinson and Jason Rooley the pee wee selects while Sam Gauvreau, Lance Knox and Rob Majic will lead the mosquitos.
