Nick Smith and Braden Robbins scored just over three minutes apart in the third period to break a 1-1 tie and give the Thunderbirds a 3-1 victory over the Soo (Mich.) Eagles at Pullar Stadium in Sault, Michigan.
Smith finished the night with a pair of goals to give him four on the season for the Thunderbirds, who improve to 5-2-0-1 on the season.
Kaidan McDonald and Noah Sollinger assisted on a pair of goals each for the Thunderbirds.
Goaltender Brandon Gordon had a busy night for the Thunderbirds, stopping 33 shots in the win.
Brendan Blair had the lone goal for the Eagles, who drop to 2-3-0-0 with the loss. Goaltender Carter McPhail stopped 31 shots.
