Racers from the juvenile division, featuring 13 and 14 year-old skiers, participated in a pair of Wilcox Cup Super Giant Slalom events on Tuesday at Georgian Peaks near Collingwood.

Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick led the way for the Ski Runners with top ten finishes in each race. Fitzpatrick placed sixth in the first race in a time of 51.49 seconds, less than a half-second off the leader, before improving her time to 50.90 on the second race but finishing in seventh position in the field of 79.

After falling in the first race, Gillian Scott placed ninth in the second heat in a time of 51.06. Jennifer Payne finished 42nd in the first race and 43rd in the other while Nora Beth Saunders placed 50th and 56th. Junior division skier Kylie Rains placed 18th and 19th in two Super G races.

On the boys side, Greg Moser placed 10th in the first race and 15th on the second try in a field of 90 for the first race and 94 for the second. David Ghent-Kyle finished 11th and 10th, Josh Dugas 37th and 31st, Alex Moser 52nd and 66th while Graeme Hutchison recorded a 76th and 80th place finish.

The Ski Runners are currently in North Bay participating in a pair of Northern Ontario Division Slalom races on Friday and Saturday.
