Ski Runners golden in North Bay

Members of the Searchmont Ski Runners captured six gold medals and 19 medals overall at the Northern Ontario Division Slalom Races in North Bay on the weekend.

Meaghan DiAngelo and David Ghent-Kyle led the Ski Runners with two gold medals each in their respective divisions in two races. DiAngelo captured the girls 11 and 12 year-old division while Ghent-Kyle won the boys 13 and 14 year-old honours.

DiAngelo's teammates Heidi Poldmaa won a silver and a bronze, Courtney Rains won a silver and Jillian Keast took a bronze.

Greg Mosher followed up Ghent-Kyle with a silver and a bronze while Alex Mosher captured a bronze.

Matt Horbatuk won a gold and silver medal in the boys 11 and 12 year-old division while George Payne won a bronze.

Gillian Scott won a gold medal in the girls 13 and 14 year-old division and Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick grabbed a silver. Nora-Beth Saunders took a bronze.

Kylie Rains took home a pair of bronze medals in the 15 to 18 year-old junior division.
