This upcoming Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, come out and cheer on the Sault College men’s Cougar hockey team while supporting an incredible cause – the United Way. The Cougars will be playing host to Alpena Community College Lumberjacks in the American Collegiate Hockey Association beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Rankin Arena. Entry to the game will be by donation.

During this home game, guests will not only experience some exciting hockey action, but also can have some fun with a 50/50 draw and chuck-a-puck. All proceeds collected through these activities will be donated to the United Way campaign.

The United Way is in year two of its five year focus to address root causes of poverty by working with multiple community partners on strategies which reduce the impact of low income on the health and well-being of individuals and families in our community. They remain focused on supporting our community and essential services and workforce entry for those in need.

Sault College is honoured to support this amazing cause and invites everyone to join in the fun! This is the men’s Cougar hockey team’s last home game, so come out for a night of fun and excitement. The Cougars will head to Alpena on Saturday to complete the home and home series.
