Another race season is set to get underway at Kinross Speedpark.
The 2018 season is set to run nine race nights, beginning on Sunday afternoon.
The summer will feature three marquee events, including the annual Memorial Invitational in September.
The event honours Randy Dewitt and Ted Brooks, who were well known in the local racing community.
Other major events on the schedule include the inaugural “Blue Deuce” John Lowry II tribute on June 9. The event honours Lowery, who passed away in the summer of 2017. He was highly regarded as a competitor at the track.
Also on the schedule is the “Babyshoe.” The event, scheduled for July 7, is a qualifier for the 5th annual Hot Shoe 100, held at Whittimore Speedway in August.
Action begins for Sunday’s season opener at 1 p.m. with time trials. Racing begins at 3 p.m.
Sunday’s race program will feature action in three divisions, including Modifies, ABC Stock Cars and Four Cylinders.
