OUA football regular season wraps up

A number of players with local ties competed in the final weekend of regular season action in OUA football

The OUA football regular season came to a close over the weekend.

In London, Mitchell Stadnyk had 2.5 tackles as the University of Western Ontario Mustangs beat McMaster 19-18. With the win, Western finished the season with a 7-1 record to earn a bye in the playoffs. Western will advance directly into the provincial semifinal and earned home field advantage throughout the OUA playoffs.

In Waterloo, Jordan Hoover had four catches for 49 yards receiving and seven tackles for Waterloo in a 43-15 loss to Carleton. Michael Reid had five tackles while Brandon Corelli had 1.5 tackles and Ray Duplin had an assisted tackle.

In Windsor, Casey Wright completed three of eight passes for 26 yards and a touchdown for the University of Windsor in a 38-9 loss to Laurier.
