KNIGHTS NAME NEW GENERAL MANAGER

The London Knights named Rob Simpson its new general manager on Wednesday.

Simpson, who was brought in by the team in 2012, has previously served as an assistant general manager and assistant coach with the team and takes over for Basil McRae, who stepped down from the general manager position to take on a new role with the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets.

McRae will remain a part of the organization as he maintains an ownership stake with the team.

For Simpson, he will also hold his position as an assistant coach with the team.
