Hockey Canada released their list of 41 players who will participate in a development camp in August as part of the selection for the 2015 World Junior Hockey Championship.

Among the 41 players was Soo Greyhounds defenceman Darnell Nurse.

The Greyhounds captain, Nurse participated in the camp last year as Hockey Canada brought a group of players to Lake Placid, NY for an event put on by USA Hockey.

This year Hockey Canada is holding its own event in Montreal that will see teams from Russia and the Czech Republic also participating.

Despite being in last years camp, Nurse missed out on the opportunity to play in the Christmas  tournament as he was passed over for the selection camp in December.

Nurse, a first round pick of the Edmonton Oilers in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, posted 13 goals and 50 points in 64 games with the Greyhounds last season.

Niagara IceDogs forward Brendan Perlini, who has numerous ties to Sault Ste. Marie, was also among the list of invites.

Eligible for this weekend's NHL Draft, Perlini had 34 goals and 71 points in 58 games for the IceDogs in 2013-14.

Guelph Storm forward Robby Fabbri, who has family from Sault Ste. Marie, was also ranked.
