Sudbury Lockerby Nickel Capitals have drawn first blood in the Great North Midget Hockey League championship series, besting the visiting Soo North Stars 5-4 in overtime on Saturday. Sudbury leads the best-of-five title showdown 1-0, with game two set for the Nickel City on Sunday. Four players scored once apiece for the North Stars in Saturday's loss: David Turco, Adam Combs, Kyle Rodgers and Jeff Elliott. Turco also added two assists for the Soo, as did Adam Kauppi.
