One night after beating the Sarnia Sting 5-1, the Greyhounds beat the Belleville Bulls 3-2 in front of just over 2,600 fans at Memorial Gardens on Sunday.

After a scoreless first period, Belleville's Matt Stajan opened the scoring just prior to the midway point of the second on a setup from Oliver Maron and Adam Paiement to give the Bulls the lead.

The Greyhounds battled back though and tied the game late in the period on a goal by Jeff Larsh, his fourth goal in two games, who took a pass high in the slot from Petr Taticek and beat Bulls' goaltender Michael Mole top corner to tie the game up.

The Greyhounds took the lead early in the third period on a goal by rookie Tyler Kennedy off a point shot by Trevor Daley. The Bulls' Adam Paiment tied the game just passed the midway point of the period on a shot that Adam Munro got a piece of.

Then, with just under five minutes left in regulation, Daley gave the Greyhounds a lead that they would not relinquish despite a late power play for the Bulls.

Pleased with the play of many players, Hounds coach John Vanbiesbrouck said after the game that Daley "may have been the best player on the ice. He gave us life in the first period after a slow start."

The Hounds' coach was also happy with the play of Larsh, the second-year right-winger.

The Hounds received a strong performance from Munro, the overage goalie who stopped 40 shots in the win.

Next action for the Greyhounds will be Friday night, when the Plymouth Whalers are in town.
