The Sault Minor Football Association has announced its award winners for the 2002 season. In tyke division, Brian Nanne was named most valuable player while Todd Wagner won rookie of the year.

The Sault Minor Football Association has announced its award winners for the 2002 season. In tyke division, Brian Nanne was named most valuable player while Todd Wagner won rookie of the year. In bantam division, Graham Imrie and Jonathon Mullin are co-winners of the Andrew Grigg most valuable player award. Grigg, a Bawating Braves' high school graduate, is currently a standout wide receiver with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. Cody Marshall, meanwhile, was named bantam division rookie of the year. Meanwhile, Jason Amadio won the Norm Casola Memorial Award as the graduating player who best combines leadership, dedication to his team and ability. Casola, a Sault native, played three years in the CFL before dying of cancer at age 29 a few years ago.
