Returning from injury this season, Mac Marcoux hasn’t missed a beat.

On Wednesday, Marcoux found himself on the podium with guide Tristin Rodgers of Ottawa for the third consecutive day in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.

Marcoux finished first in the men’s visually impaired giant slalom on Wednesday, marking the third first place finish for Marcoux at the four-day event, which wraps up on Thursday.

In Wednesday’s Giant Slalom, Marcoux finished in top spot with a time of 1:56:00, just over a half-second quicker than Italian Giacomo Bertagnolli, who also finished second in the two earlier Giant Slalom runs this week.

The win gives Marcoux and Rodgers eight consecutive World Cup wins.

Marcoux, who will not compete in the slalom event on Thursday, is looking forward to a little bit of time off between races to recharge.

“I’m excited to be heading home with great momentum from all the Europe races,” Marcoux said in a release.

Rodgers has been pleased with the connection he and Marcoux have had during the early part of the World Cup season.

“I’m so happy with my first experience on the World Cup with Mac,” Rodgers said. “The Canadian Para Alpine Ski Team (CPAST) has been absolutely crushing it and I’m so proud of my teammates for their results these past few weeks. We couldn’t do it without our coaches and staff so a huge thank you to them for all their hard work.”
