After announcing last week that Team Jacobs will continue next season without third Ryan Fry, a post to the team’s Facebook page this morning revealed that Marc Kennedy will fill Fry’s shoes.
“Welcome Marc Kennedy who will be joining us next season,” the post reads.
“We wish Ryan Fry all the best with his future plans and we still have two events left this season with our current line-up.
“We are excited to finish this year off strong, have some fun and try and capture at least one more championship before the new journey begins.”
Earlier this month, TSN named Kennedy the country’s best second in history. Through the last few years, he shot third for Kevin Koe’s rink, earning a Brier title and representing Canada at the 2018 Olympics.
Kennedy was Fry’s replacement on Team Jacobs for one event in 2018 when Fry took a leave from the team.
