Local skaters bring home 20 top 3 finishes

LAKE SUPERIOR FIGURE SKATING CLUB

The 2017 Let’s Skate Competition took place this past weekend at the Country Side Arena in Sudbury, Ont. The annual Let’s Skate Figure Skating Competition is a two-day invitational recreational event with skaters coming from all over Quebec and Ontario to compete.

This year the Lake Superior Figure Skating Club (LSFSC) had 24 skaters represent LSFSC at the Let’s Skate Competition. The team brought home a total of 20 Top 3 finishes in the events competed. Skaters from LSFSC were very excited about their results from this past weekend setting several personal bests.

Kerry Bain, competitive coach and director of skating for the Lake Superior Figure Skating Club was very pleased with the results, indicating Sudbury is the last competition of the season, for some to reach their personal best before the season ends is very satisfying.
