The Lambton Lions defeated the St. Clair Saints 74-62 Wednesday night to move ahead of the Sault College Cougars and further tighten the men's basketball standings in the OCAA West Region. Friday at 6:30 p.m., Sault College will play host to Lambton. Lambton then plays at Algoma University on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 against the Thunderbirds. Lambton, which now has a 4-2 record, features the first and third leading scorers in the West Region in Chris Williams and Matt Stevers. Following Wednesday's action, the standings show the Niagara Knights first in the West with a 6-1 record, followed by the Fanshawe Falcons at 5-3, Lambton at 4-2, the Sault at 4-3, St. Clair at 3-3, the Redeemer Royals at 2-5 and Algoma at 1-8.
