Knights cruise to high school hockey win

A big second period helped St. Mary's to a win over Korah on Wednesday

In high school hockey action at the John Rhodes Community Centre, a six-goal second period broke things open as the St. Mary’s Knights beat the Korah Colts 9-1.

Johnny Mackin and Theo Smith had a pair of goals each while Colby Arbour had a goal and two assists for St. Mary’s.

Chuck Webb and Samuel Lake had a goal and an assist each for the Knights.

Christian Alfano and Ethan Novello also scored.

Connor Caruso had the lone goal for Korah.

The Knights return to action on Thursday against CASS in a 3:30 p.m. start at the John Rhodes Community Centre.

It continues a busy stretch of games that will include a meeting between Superior Heights and CASS on Friday night in Thessalon while Korah and Superior Heights will meet on Sunday evening at the GFL Memorial Gardens.
