When the Saginaw Spirit step onto the ice at the Essar Centre on Friday night, it will be their first game action since the tragic death of Spirit forward Terry Trafford.
The game will be the first for both teams since the 20-year-old’s death.
The Greyhounds plan to honour Trafford with a pregame video tribute. Following the tribute, the Greyhounds will make a presentation to each member of the Spirit roster and staff prior to puck drop.
Fans are asked to be in their seats a few minutes earlier than usual for Friday’s 7:07 p.m. puck drop.
In addition to the pre-game ceremony, the Greyhounds will also wear a sticker on their helmets for the rest of the regular season and playoffs with the initials TT and the number 16 (pictured).
