Greyhounds GNML entry sweeps New Liskeard

The Soo Greyhounds Great North Midget League entry continues to roll.

Sporting just one loss in the early stages of the season, the Greyhounds picked up a pair of victories on home ice against the New Liskeard Cubs.

On Sunday morning Camaryn Baber scored three times and assisted on another goal as the Greyhounds beat the Cubs 7-3. Noah Boman chipped in with a goal and three assists while Parker Morgan, Owen Shier and Lucas Theriault also scored.

Brady Lacharity had a pair of goals for New Liskeard. Maxim Breault had the other Cubs goal.

On Saturday, five different players had goals as the Greyhounds opened the weekend with a 5-1 victory. Boman, Baber, Morgan, Dale Armstrong and Tyler Nott completed the Greyhounds scoring.

Williamson had the lone New Liskeard goal in Saturday’s loss.

With an 8-1 record, next regular season action for the Greyhounds is on Oct. 22 in Sudbury against the Sudbury Wolves minor midget team.
