As the Soo Greyhounds attempt to erase a 3-0 series deficit against the Saginaw Spirit, the team will do so without veteran forward Jaden Peca.

The Ontario Hockey League announced on Saturday afternoon that the forward has been suspended for two games for “an inappropriate gesture” on Friday night in the Greyhounds win 6-2 win.

Peca will miss game six on Sunday night locally and would miss game seven in Saginaw on Tuesday night if the Greyhounds extend the series.

If the series doesn’t go seven games, Peca would sit out the first game of the 2019-20 regular season.
