For the Soo Greyhounds, Friday night will go a long way in determining whether they will catch the Guelph Storm for fifth in the Ontario Hockey League’s Western Conference.

The Greyhounds enter Friday night trailing the Storm by three points as the two teams will face each other at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph, marking the final meeting between the two clubs this season.

While a win would pull the Greyhounds to within a point of the Storm in the standings, they will still need some help if they hope to catch and pass Guelph in the standings. The Storm also have a game in hand on the Greyhounds, which they will play on Saturday night when they host the Saginaw Spirit.

With seven games on the OHL schedule on Friday night, the standings in each conference could see some changes come the end of the night. The London Knights and Barrie Colts are the only teams who have clinched first in their respective divisions as well as playoff spots.
