Frost, Katchouk among Greyhounds given all-star spots

Three members of the team were named first team all-stars

As the Ontario Hockey League announced its year-end all-star teams, the group had a distinct Soo Greyhounds flavour.

In total, six members of the Greyhounds were honoured by the league.

Among them were first team all-stars Morgan Frost, Boris Katchouk and coach Drew Bannister.

Forward Taylor Raddysh and defenceman Conor Timmins were named to the second team and goaltender Matthew Villalta earned third team honours.

The full teams included:

First Team

  • Centre: Morgan Frost, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
  • Left Wing: Boris Katchouk, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
  • Right Wing: Jordan Kyrou, Sarnia Sting
  • Defence: Nicolas Hague, Mississauga Steelheads
  • Defence: Evan Bouchard, London Knights
  • Goaltender: Michael DiPietro, Windsor Spitfires
  • Coach: Drew Bannister, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds

Second Team

  • Centre: Aaron Luchuk, Barrie Colts
  • Left Wing: Sam Miletic, Niagara IceDogs
  • Right Wing: Taylor Raddysh, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
  • Defence: Sean Durzi, Owen Sound Attack
  • Defence: Conor Timmins, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
  • Goaltender: Jeremy Helvig, Kingston Frontenacs
  • Coach: Dale Hawerchuk, Barrie Colts

Third Team

  • Centre: Gabriel Vilardi, Kingston Frontenacs
  • Left Wing: Adam Mascherin, Kitchener Rangers
  • Right Wing: Jason Robertson, Kingston Frontenacs
  • Defence: Cam Dineen, North Bay Battalion
  • Defence: Joey Keane, Barrie Colts
  • Goaltender: Matthew Villalta, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
  • Coach: Trevor Letowski, Windsor Spitfires
