Cougars' women's hockey hold on to win both weekend games

Jan. 26 and 27, 2019 – Sault College Cougars at Adrian College Bulldogs Division 2 (Adrian, Mich.)

The Sault College Cougars Women’s Hockey team travelled to Adrian Michigan to compete against Adrian College Bulldogs for a pair of exhibition games. The Cougars with a 2-4-0 Collegiate level exhibition record this season knew they were coming in to compete against the top Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association (CCWHA) team. They are 11-1-1 in their season so far.

6-3 Cougars win Jan. 26

The Cougars battled throughout the game maintaining a lead each period. Goals from Mackenzie Nadeau, Taylor Nadeau, Chelsea Dokis, Ashleigh Wiwchar and Kaitlyn Lambert-Mousseau (2) contributed to a 6-3 win on Saturday night.

4-0 Cougars win Jan. 27

The Cougars and Bulldogs faced off at 2 p.m. for their second game of the weekend. Jenny King (2), Kaitlyn Lambert-Mousseau and Megan Turcotte scored while Amanda Coulis held the Bulldogs off the scoreboard.

The Cougar’s next action is Feb. 22 and 23 at Central Michigan University who is currently holding the 6th place spot in the Division 2 CCWHA.
