The Alpena Lumberjacks paid a visit to the Sault College gym on Wednesday and left with men's and women's basketball wins over the Cougars. It was non-conference action and the Alpena women began the night with a 60-29 win over Sault College.

It was non-conference action and the Alpena women began the night with a 60-29 win over Sault College. Top scorers for the Cougars were Lee Anne Faganely with eight points, Erica Nethery with seven and Cara Russon with six. In the men's game, Sault College dropped an 87-73 decision. Ray Henry with 14, Robbie Green with 13 and Tim Walker with 11 led the Cougars. Next action for the Cougar teams is Friday night when they play host to Niagara in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association play. The women will play at 6 p.m. followed by the men.
