Senior football action continued on Thursday at Superior Heights and the Korah Colts needed a second-half push to pick up its first win of the season.
Sporting an 0-2 record heading into the contest, Korah scored 21 points in the second half to beat the White Pines Wolverines 41-28, leaving the Wolverines as the senior loops lone winless team.
White Pines got a late touchdown in the opening half to take a 21-14 lead. Korah would cut the lead to 21-20 after a last-minute touchdown in the opening half. White Pines blocked the extra point attempt to hold the lead.
After the two teams traded touchdowns early in the second half, Korah would score a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to seal the win.
Senior action continues on Friday night as the lone unbeaten teams meet at St. Mary’s in a 5 p.m. kickoff between St. Mary’s and Superior Heights.
