Colts continue strong run

The 2017 senior girl's basketball season continues to be a good one for the Korah Colts

In senior girl’s high school basketball action, the Korah Colts remain unbeaten in regular season action.

The Colts moved to 8-0 on Wednesday thanks to a 68-22 win over White Pines.

Korah’s Skylar Toms led all scorers in the game with 14 points in the contest. Kaylan Kohvakko chipped in with 11 points for the Colts.

Cecilia Holzworth paced White Pines with 10 points.

In action on Thursday night, St. Mary’s improved to 6-2 in senior action thanks to a narrow 38-34 win over Superior Heights.

Emma Hendrie paced St. Mary’s with 14 points. Mispon Martin chipped in with eight points for the Knights.

Addie Damignani led Superior Heights with 11 points.

Thursday’s junior game saw Superior Heights pick up a 36-14 win over St. Mary’s. Taryn Greco paced the Steelhawks with 11 points while Jillian Ferguson added seven points.

Mercedes Mazzuca and Paige Banting had four points each for St. Mary’s.

Wednesday’s junior game saw Elizabeth Iacoe score 11 points to help Korah to a 48-16 win over White Pines. Esther Yule added 10 points for the Colts in the win.

Mackenzie Hutchings had eight points while Sadie Dorrance added six for White Pines.

Action continues on Nov. 1 as Korah hosts St. Mary’s and White Pines hosts Superior Heights in junior and senior action. The junior games begin at 5:15 p.m. while the senior games follow at 7 p.m.
