Colts clip Steelhawks to wrap up junior football regular season

It was a battle between the top two teams in the league and the Korah Colts finished the junior high school football regular season with a win on Friday night.

The Colts got big performances from Wesley Pomeroy and Arwin Shafee in a 43-20 win over Superior Heights at Superior Heights.

Pomeroy finished the night with 179 yards rushing on 17 carries and had a two-yard touchdown run early in the contest.

Shafee had a big day with touchdown runs of two, three, and 25 yards. He had 75 yards rushing total on 10 carries for the Colts.

Tyrone Rice had the other touchdown for Korah on a three-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Defensively for the Colts, Dante Scaglione had four tackles while Pomeroy had three.

Dean Breton ran for a pair of touchdowns for Superior Heights in the game on runs of five and 48 yards.

Breton finished the day with 212 yards rushing on 21 carries.

Gabe Barkley ran for 57 yards on seven carries, which included a touchdown run of 49 yards late in the game.

Defensively for the Steelhawks, Evan Atkins had six tackles and an assisted tackle. Caden McLeod had five tackles and two assisted tackles for Superior Heights. Breton had four tackles and three assisted tackles.
