The return of suds and a pair of first ever winners highlighted the fourth week of racing at Laird International Raceway. As fans were basking in the beer tent, which made its triumphant return this week, Brent Palumbo completed a clean sweep of the late model division on Thursday night.

Palumbo, a former two-time champion in the factory stock division at Laird, dazzled the crowd with a pair of win the heat races before winning the feature. The wins mark his first ever in the late model class and helped make up some ground on the leaders. Palumbo was 120 points off the lead heading into action.

In super stock, Dan Desjardins picked up his first ever win at Laird with a win in the opening heat. George Wilson won the second heat before Rob Sartini won the feature.

Len Bibeau was the big winner in factory stock by picked up victories in the opening heat and the feature. Dick Wellwood won the second heat while other heat winners were Jason Praysner and Rick Mariotti. Barry Glenn won the opening heat and the feature in the pure stock division. Bob Laphew won the second heat.

Randy Hache won the feature in the stock four-cylinder class. Heat races were won by Corey Diotte and Randy Mortimore.

Racing continues next Thursday night at Laird beginning at 7 p.m.
