'Bark at the speedpark' set for Sunday at Kinross

The 2016 race season continues at Kinross Speedpark with the “Bark at the Speedpark” event on Sunday afternoon.

The day will seed donation bins set up at the pit and grandstand admission gates in support of the Animal Shelter. Items in need include soft dog treats, rawhides, soft dog and cat food, clay cat litter, gently used leashes and collars, bleach, dish soap and laundry soap.

Drivers from Sault, ON continue to have solid seasons at the track heading into the third event of the season.

Cody MacLean currently sits three points back of Buddy Gray IV in the Modified Division while Jay Palumbo of Goulais, ON sits in a tie for fourth with Tim Aho of the Michigan Sault. The pair sit four points back of Gray.

A pair of local drivers lead the way in the ABC Stock Car Division as Jason Praysner holds a three-point lead over Keenan Spurway atop the points standings.

Buddy Palahnuk of Goulais currently sits second in the points standings in the B-Division. Palahnuk is seven points behind leader Larry Young Sr. of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, who is the defending track champion.

Jon Diodati of the Canadian Sault currently sits second in the Four Cylinder Division, four points out of top spot.

Action on Sunday begins with time trials at 1:30 p.m. and racing set to begin at 3 p.m.
