Algoma U beats Sault College in regular season finale

Algoma U Men’s Basketball Team Defeat Sault College

The Algoma University Men's basketball team defeated the Sault College Cougars by a score of 75-55 tonight at the George Leach Centre in the last regular season game for both clubs.

Top scorer for Algoma was Patrick Murray and Tylor Hynd with 18 points each. Andy Haidar had 10 points. Top scorers for Sault College were Odane Ferguson and Terrell Carr with 18 and 12 points, respectively.

Next action for the Thunderbird Men and Women are to be determined as the last week of regular season games play out this week.

Both teams will be on the road playing in a qualifying game with for their respective Provincial Championships.

Algoma University is proud to be hosting the OCAA Men’s Provincial Championships here in Sault Ste. Marie at the Essar Centre March 3-5. Tickets are available at the George Leach Centre and the Essar Centre Box Office.
