CITY OF SAULT STE MARIE

RIVERVIEW AVENUE TO PINE STREET

The City is continuing with the reconstruction of Queen Street East between Riverview Avenue and Pine Street. 

This work involves the complete reconstruction of the roadway including replacement of underground sewers, watermain and related services as well as upgrades to traffic signals and other utilities. 

Construction will commence Monday, May 12, 2014 and is expected to be completed by early August.

In order to facilitate the construction, Queen Street East between Riverview and Pine will be closed to throughway vehicular traffic as of May 12 for approximately 3 months. 

Commuters are asked to obey signed detours and exercise caution while driving around construction crews. Residents should plan ahead for constructions delays. 

The City of Sault Ste. Marie thanks citizens for their patience during this construction period.
