Canadian Wrestling's Elite come to town for the final stop on its 9th anniversary tour

Pro wrestling fans of all ages showed up at The Tech Sunday night for Canadian Wrestling’s Elite (CWE) 9th anniversary tour.

It was the last stop on the tour for the independent wrestling promotion.

Due to a family emergency, WWE alumni Ron Simmons, a.k.a. Farooq, was unable to attend the event.

Instead, Simmons found another pro wrestling legend, 2 Cold Scorpio, to fill his shoes for the last five stops on the CWE tour.

“Here I am, enjoying this kind of cold, misty England style type weather, but still lovely view coming over here,” 2 Cold Scorpio said.

The man known as 2 Cold Scorpio - who was also known as Flash Funk during his time in the World Wrestling Federation - was busy posing for pictures and signing autographs for fans prior to the event.

“It’s the fans who make you, and the fans who break you,” said 2 Cold Scorpio. “So for me it’s very important to spend some time with the fans, because at any given moment of time if the fans don’t care about you, they’re the ones that can make you or break you.”

Sunday in the Sault marked the final stop on the CWE 9th anniversary tour.

Here’s what the full card looked like at The Tech:
