The first snowfall of the season that has stayed on the ground has finally happened on the heels of a remarkable start to the month. The forecast for the coming week and the end of this month is showing weather more typical of late November.

Normal temperatures this time of year are usually a couple of degrees above freezing in the day and several degrees below normal, and that is what we are about to get for the coming week.

Monday will be mainly sunny, but a cool north wind will keep daytime highs below freezing and bring windchill values near -10C.

Tuesday will see clouds slowly build in through the day, but less wind will make it feel a little more comfortable. Daytime highs will climb a couple of degrees above freezing.

Wednesday will see a weakening system move into the region that will bring 3 - 8cm of snow through the day.

Thursday and Friday will continue with seasonal temperatures with the risk of scattered flurries both days.
