Workweek Outlook: Patchy drought continues

Some locations in the Sault region have received isolated showers over the last month, but many more have received next to nothing. The Sault airport and my station on St. Joseph Island have both recorded less than 3mm so far August. The last time the island received significant rain was July 11, and for the airport, you have to go back to June 25 for any heavy rain.

The week ahead does show a chance of showers for several days, but most locations will see little to no rainfall. So the dry conditions will likely continue well into next week.

Monday morning will be sunny with a few afternoon clouds as temperatures climb to near 24°C.

A few clouds on Tuesday morning should clear out for the afternoon with daytime highs near 25°C.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with the slight risk of an afternoon shower with temperatures only reaching 19°C. That chance of scattered showers continues into Thursday with daytime highs again only reaching 20°C.

Friday begins a warming trend that should continue into the weekend as temperatures climb into the mid-20s.
